I like what you are doing as a company keeping up with the pop culture world.
I love this company and have for a long time. They always have the best horror collections and special editions. My shelf is full with their stuff and I hope they keep it coming.
The website loading is a bit slow. There are many attractive titles, but too many items were already out of print.
An excellent company all around. All of my orders from them have arrived quickly and we're packed excellently and the movies and shows they distribute are always top notch.
Was packed very good poster was in great shape and the steelbook was in a separate envelope which was great
I ordered blurays during the sale in early October. I didn't receive them until after Christmas. None were preorders. None were items that were out of stock at the time of my purchase. All were in stock on the online store when I bought them on 10/9/2020.
I reached out to customer service a few times. One responded a week later. The other a few days later. Neither acceptable for customer service. One was a response that told me items were currently out of stock and asked me if I wanted to cancel due to a delay. Another told told me the delay was due to COVID and that I could receive it soon due to these delays. I eventually received a shipping notification on 12/3/2020. It was "in transit " for a month with different delivery dates promised. I finally received it on 1/5/2021.
I understand COVID delays and the USPS delays. But I have never experienced ordering anything online from any company that was handled this poorly. I order blurays all the time from different labels and take advantage of great sales. They are all always timely and have fast customer service. Most importantly if items are not in stock, the customer is aware at the time of purchase. This entire experience was a gigantic mess and I will not be participating in your online sales in the future.
I tweeted about this experience online and several friends of mine who also purchase blurays had similar experiences. They mentioned how slow Shout is to ship their purchases and how awful the customer service is. Better communication is needed and actually having a better idea of what is in stock is important or this will just keep happening. If I knew I wouldn't receive items I bought that were in stock on 10/9/2020 until 1/5/2021: i wouldn't be this angry. This is a really garbage way to treat your customers.
I have made a lot of online purchases during this pandemic. Only Shout was this awful. So it is not simply due to COVID. Vinegar Syndrome, Severin and Criterion had no problems shipping me what I ordered in a timely manner. They also responded to me in less than 24 hours if I had a question.
